Calculation method of fin tube heat transfer area

The calculation of heat transfer area of finned tube can be divided into three parts by accumulating all the parts exposed to air.

1, the partial surface area of the base tube.

2, the fins of the fin (the cumulative surface area after the number of effective pieces).

3, the surface area of the positive and negative two surfaces of the fin. The three numbers add up to the heat transfer area of the fin tube.

Calculation method for heat transfer area of finned tube

Example: (steel-aluminum composite type) One finned tube is 1860 mm long, each end is 30 mm empty, finned tube is 25 mm in diameter, bottom diameter is 0.5 mm, tube thickness is 2 mm, fin distance is 2.8 mm, fin thickness is 0.35 mm, fin diameter is 57, effective fin height is 15.5 mm. What is the heat transfer area of a finned tube?

Calculate (calculate the area per unit meter) first.

It is known that the chip thickness is 0.35, the chip spacing is 2.8, and the number of effective slices is 357.

The effective length of the base surface area is 1000-357X0.35=0.875 m, which is 3.14X0.026X0.875=0.071435

The tip surface area of the fins is 357X0.35=0.125 meters, and the outer diameter of the fins is 57mm. 3.14X0.057X0.125=0.0223725

The surface area of the positive and negative two surfaces of fins. The radius is 0.0285 and 0.013, and the result is 3.14X (0.0285X0.0285-0.013X0.013) X357X2 = 1.44214.

Cumulative result: 1.44214+0.0223725+0.071435=1.536m2/ M.

The effective tube length is 1800, and the finned tube heat transfer area of this type is 2.765 square / branch.
